New partners and fresh impetus for AM

Rapid.Tech 3D once again increases its appeal. Rapid.Tech 3D is continuing to increase its appeal. This is reflected in the many new partnerships at the pioneering additive manufacturing (AM) event, which will be held for the 20th time next year from 14 to 16 May in Erfurt.

VDMA Additive Manufacturing to provide professional consulting and support and organise AM4industry

One new partner is the Additive Manufacturing Working Group run by the German mechanical and plant engineering association VDMA. This group, which includes around 200 companies from across the entire additive manufacturing value chain, will provide professional consulting and support to Rapid.Tech 3D from 2024. For this anniversary event, the working group will be organising the AM4industry forum. It will be held on the opening day of Rapid.Tech 3D (14 May 2024) and will focus on the key topics of Sustainability & Profitability, Repair, and Rethinking. The latter will centre on how AM can be used to facilitate new designs, new production techniques and new services. VDMA AM Working Group members will hold their general meeting in Erfurt prior to the event, on 13 May.

Renowned publishing partners for AM Science

The AM Science trade forum has extended its list of renowned publishing partners to include Springer Nature Progress in AM and RTe Journal. The new international publication channels make it more attractive to submit technical papers. Now in its ninth year, the AM Science forum will provide double-blind reviewed papers on new research findings and examine all aspects of the AM process chain. The deadline for submission of papers is 31 December 2023.

DECHEMA is new partner for the Chemistry & Process Engineering forum

AM is becoming increasingly important in the chemical industry. This was evident from the Chemistry & Process Engineering trade forum, held for the first time at this year’s Rapid.Tech 3D. The high levels of interest mean the forum will be held again in 2024 and will be organised in close collaboration with new partner DECHEMA. A professional association, DECHEMA is Germany’s chemical engineering and biotechnology network. It brings together the expertise of over 5,500 companies, research and educational institutions and other political and social partners.

Appealing anniversary event in preparation

“We are delighted to have new specialist partners to help us enhance the quality of Rapid.Tech 3D as a pioneering platform for industrial 3D printing and provide fresh impetus for AM. These partnerships and many other initiatives by the advisory board and the organisational team will enable us to offer an appealing anniversary event for all participants,” says Michael Kynast, CEO of Messe Erfurt GmbH.

Keynotes from ASML and InnoSyn

The high-calibre programme for the specialist conference, with groundbreaking keynote addresses, certainly lends weight to this assertion. The first keynote speakers for 2024 have already been announced. Radu Donose, Head of Additive Manufacturing Competence at Dutch Group ASML, will give the opening address, showing how the equipment manufacturer for the international semiconductor industry uses additive manufacturing for innovative chip production technologies. On 15 May, Dr Jan Brummund will focus on the potential of AM for chemical process technology. With a doctorate in process engineering, he is currently Business Development Manager at InnoSyn, a Dutch R&D service provider for the chemical industry.

Trade forums programme restructured

The Rapid.Tech 3D team has restructured the programme of trade forums. Alongside the VDMA AM4industry forum and the AM Science forum, the first day will also see the Aviation forum. These will be followed on day two by the AM Science forum and by forums on Chemistry & Process Engineering, Innovations in AM with a focus on defence, and Software/AI & Design. The closing day will see part 2 of the Innovations in AM forum, this time focusing on energy and printed electronics. The Mobility forum and the biennial forum of the Fraunhofer Competence Field Additive Manufacturing are also on the agenda. The 19 Fraunhofer Institutes involved in the competence field will also present their AM expertise at the Rapid.Tech 3D exhibition.

Attractive discounts for Ultra Early Bird conference tickets

Bookings for the Rapid.Tech 3D specialist conference made before the end of the year will also benefit from attractive rates and discounts. Ultra Early Bird prices are available for one, two and three-day tickets until 31 December 2023, with discounts of at least 200 Euros in each category. The tickets provide entry to the conference and trade exhibition as well as to the networking events, including the evening event on 16 May 2024 at the Erfurt Kaisersaal.
