3D Printing Conference powered by STRATASYS:
We are looking forward to Ruben Meuth's (3d Spark) & Dr.-Ing. Uwe Jurdeczka's (Alstom) presentation at the anniversary edition of Rapid.Tech 3D 2024.
How can a ‘digital factory twin’ help to automatically determine the feasibility, cost and production time for each application and in-house production option?
Alstom, shows how they have modelled their AM processes, machines, post-processes and materials into manufacturing process chains using 3D Spark software. Over 180+ employees use it to quickly and easily determine the most suitable manufacturing process and continue the subsequent make or buy process through automatic quotation or RFQ generation. In this way, a total of €15M in costs and 2,600 months of delivery time have already been saved and tracked. The process is illustrated using rail use cases as examples.
